About Us

The Westlake Towne Center, a $45 million project, is located in close proximity to Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County, Virginia. This 140-acre architectural style development was started in 2001 with a planned buildout at the year 2015.

Our region has access to business support services including legal services, patent-intellectual legal services, engineering firms in a variety of disciplines, prototyping, machining, testing, accounting and marketing/advertising.

Since opening, Westlake Towne Center has been the Lake’s key destination for shopping and retail, with anchor tenants
including Kroger Food and Drug and a cinema complex as well as The Westlake Golf and Country Club located just one mile
away. The vision has expanded to include a Professional Center and Office Complex that offers easy access to many of the
region’s preeminent medical service providers as well as legal and financial services. Four Square is an innovative hybrid center
for service providers who also require additional inventory space.

The Westlake Towne Center offers a variety of service related businesses, and is geared to market to business that want to relocate to a rural area and live in a resort type community at Smith Mountain Lake. We are fortunate enough to be in close proximity to major markets with high technology connections to Virginia Tech in telecommunications, engineering, wireless, life sciences, biotechnology, and agriculture. The Smith Mountain Lake area is also in close proximity to the markets of Lynchburg, Greensboro, and Richmond.

Westlake Towne Center is owned, marketed and operated by The Willard Companies. An innovative group of companies
representing excellence in construction, planning, development, and marketing, The Willard Companies was founded by
lake area native Ronald L. Willard. The company was among the first to realize the potential of the lake and continue the
active and passionate pursuit of making Smith Mountain Lake a great place to be.
